I am trying to us mpeg streamclip to get clips from a DVD and put them in Imovie, when I do what I supposed to do, the little wheel just spins and spins in mpeg streamclip. any thoughts?
I open the movie and drag the clips (vob files) to streamclips and get nothing.
you must also have the Apple mpeg2 plugin :

yes I have that and installed that, thanks. I just got a clip to in, and when I went to play it to edit it, it sounds like the 'tape was broken' if you will. and then eveythime I tried to do something, the little apple color wheel would just spin and spin, any thoughts?? I've used this before without problems.
Could the file be corrupted?
If they are from a commercial copy-protected DVD it won't work - and all discussion here on the subject will be at an end.

do you mean the file I am importing? or MPEGstreamclip be corrupted??
if the file I am importing is corrupted, then mpeg streamclip is okay, and there is nothing I can do, correct?
or do you think maybe mpegstreamclip is 'unstable'? would it be worth re-installing it??
