Mar 18, 2012 5:27 PM in response to daiy24by Blacknight582,Xsan is Apple's Storage Area Network, computer clients (say production computers running final cut pro) connect via fibre channel to a central storage setup (RAID Arrays) and send Metadata to servers that are traffic cops for the mass amounts of information traveling over the fibre cables.
