iCal Server Calendars Gone. Disappeared?

I have a client who is running iCal server, Several times over the last few months there has just been whole calendars disappear... I have trawled the logs and find it hard to work out exactly what is causing this... Just wondering if anyone else has had similar symptoms, or if there is an easy way to restore.
