Jan 18, 2012 7:08 AM in response to Black MacBook Foreverby KeithJenner,★HelpfulThere are currently problems for some users with Apples servers, which is causing Matching to stall. My advice would be to stop the process and try again later.
It is possible that you just have some problematic tracks, but I'd say it's quite unlikely. Some people have given advice about how to deal with this, if you want to have a read, but what you report is consistent with the general experience and I'd save yourself the bother if I were you.
I would report it to Apple though. The more reports that they get the better.

Jan 18, 2012 7:16 AM in response to KeithJennerby Black MacBook Forever,Looking around the board, I guess I should have been more specific; I am in the US, and have had iTunes Match since day 1. Thankfully/remarkably, this is the first I've experienced a problem this bizarre. Syncing on day 1 took forever, but since then it has been otherwise smooth.

Jan 18, 2012 7:17 AM in response to Black MacBook Foreverby KeithJenner,It isn't just affecting new users. I've been using it since the UK launch last month with no problems until it stopped yesterday.

Jan 18, 2012 11:17 AM in response to Dan Jacksonby torpidlittle,Maybe their servers are overloaded due to this:
Apple extends iTunes Match to 19 countries throughout Latin America and Europe...

Jan 18, 2012 11:23 AM in response to torpidlittleby KeithJenner,Yes, almost certainly. See the many other discussions on this board.

Jan 18, 2012 11:23 AM in response to torpidlittleby nrose101,It is more than that. It would be a slow down with some people getting through here and there. 100% of the itunes match subscribers are having issues.

Jan 18, 2012 11:26 AM in response to Black MacBook Foreverby Tarifa1,Same problem here. I tried yesterday evening and it got stuck in step 2 saying "2508 out of 3222 songs checked". Trying again this morning and exactly the same. Could this mean it got stuck at song 2508?
-
Jan 18, 2012 11:28 AM in response to nrose101by KeithJenner,Actually it isn't everyone. If it was then this board would be far busier. Also there have been people on here reporting that it is working for them.
Id be very surprised if the cause wasn't the new countries being added, but some of us have been hit particularly badly by it. I suspect it has taken something down at the data centre.

Jan 18, 2012 11:29 AM in response to Tarifa1by radelfex,Same problem here; I'm stuck at 5411 of 6009 songs since yesterday evening and tried three times to start it again, but it always got stuck at the same place. It gets stuck for me at the song that is not in the cloud yet, so it probably means for you that you have 2508 in the cloud, and the ones to 3222 have to be uploaded.

Jan 18, 2012 12:35 PM in response to Black MacBook Foreverby eelias,I´ve bought the iTunes Match on January 17th. That day it launched in my country (Argentina). Since the very first moment it didn´t work. It´s stuck on step 2, checking 0 of 1612 songs. I think it has to be something related to the launch of a lot of countries all at the same time. The same thing happened when they launched iOS 5 and OSX 10.7. Servers were unresponsive during the first day. I hope it gets fixed during this week.

Jan 18, 2012 1:08 PM in response to Black MacBook Foreverby SebsokK,Same for me here. I use Match since 2 weeks, I never had any problem, and since yesterday I can't pass through step 2 when I upload a new album.
I contacted Apple Customer Support for the first time. I hope they'll fix it quickly.
