I am trying to report my keyboard for balance issues, but if i typ in my serial number it says its not available. Do i need to register this product first? I've been typing in a hundred times and there are no errors in it!

I am not trying to be funny, but you could type a KB serial in 1,000 times - same result. Apple does not maintain a database of peripheral devices.
If you are having problems, either take the KB into an Apple store or call Applecare.
