iPod Touch 4G 32GB won't turn on or charge anymore

Hi all,

I have this problem with my iPod:

- It won't charge

- It won't turn on

I already tried some different things, like connecting it through a Dock with A/C. That didn't work either. It still doesn't charge.

Also tried to reset the iPod. Connected it to my PC. Pressed down the power button and home button. After a few sec released the power button. iTunes recognized the iPod and so I restored it to factory settings. Still no signs of life. So I was hoping you guys could help me out. Since the iPod has no warranty anymore, it's really freakin me out. And please ignore my not so good English. I'm from the Netherlands, so we don't speak English that good.

Thank you for your time.

Greetz,

MasterMY

If the restore to factory defaults/new iPd was successful then you have a hardware problem. If it did not restore, se if the following will allow a restore:

- Place in recovery mode. See:

iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore

- Last try DFU mode:

Ok,

So please, enlighten me. What to do next? Or can I throw the iPod away? -.- Because I'm not planning to pay a 150 eu to Apple.... Is it possible that I repair it myself? I'm wel known with electronics, and can assembly most things. Thank you again. And DFU mode is succefull. It installs all of the new software. But the iPod just doesn't start up. It stays with the charge icon like forever.
