You can set Safari to work in an Internet Explorer emulation mode.

Go to Safari>Preferences>Advanced tab and put a tick against 'Show Develop menu in menu bar', and then in Safari from the Develop menu>User agent select one of the Internet Explorer options.

I've never needed to use this facility myself but apparently it does often help with IE-only websites.

Thanks. I tried what you suggested and it still not work. I finally called the company and they said it ONLY works in IE and the best one is IE8.

As a side note though the company who makes the program now has a iPad APP. Why put the money into an app but not have it available on safari. And yes the App will only work when I am connected to my works wireless.

If the developers of the site insisted on using Microsoft-proprietary technology such that the site requires Internet Explorer, then your only solution will be to run Windows on your Mac, either via Boot Camp or one of the virtualization solutions (Parallels Desktop, VMWare Fusion, or VirtualBox) so you can run the Windows version of IE. There is no IE for Mac any more, hasn't been for years, and almost certainly is not coming back.

I run Windows on my system and it works fine; no "pollution" has occurred. In circumstances like this, it's often the only, or at least optimal, solution.

You'd have to ask that company that question. It seems odd to me as well, but they obviously have a business reason for their decision.

Regards.

And in 99% of cases that won't work. Try it out before recommending it.
