You don't. iPhone stores no data on a sim card.
Ok, then why are there no contacts in my iCloud contacts. I have my phone set to sync contacts with iCloud..??
More info needed...
In your initial post, you said "Gmail contacts". How are you syncing your Gmail contacts now?
Are these contacts currently on your phone?
You've turned on iCloud on your phone, correct?
You've turned on Contacts, correct?
Mail, contacts & calendar are all synced with my Gmail account. I just assumed that because I have iCloud turned on and set to sync with my contacts that all my contacts would show up when I open the "all iCloud" group but nothing shows up there...They only show up in the "Gmail" group.
If you're syncing over the air with Gmail, you do not want to also sync with iCloud. This will create a mess. You do one or the other, but not both at the same time.
I was just thinking that myself. Thanks for the help. Would you suggest not using iCloud all together or just turning contacts?
If you use Gmail, turn off iCloud syncing for everything but Reminders, Bookmarks, Notes, Documents & Data & Find My Phone. That is if you want to use iCloud for the rest of that stuff. Obviously you want Find My Phone on, but the rest is up to you. Again, if you use iCloud for the rest of that stuff, do not sync that stuff with your computer. Key here is you do one or the other, never both.
Will do. Thanks for the help 🙂
You're welcome.
