Water=keyboard....darn it

Hello,

My little kitty spilled my glass of water yesterday....my wireless keyboard had water not really on top, but you know the piece where the batteries are? Water was touching the outside of that as well as almost the entire underside (white piece) was wet...I don't think any water got inside where the batteries are.

Is my keyboard dead? Please let me know if there is something I can do to fix it...I don't want to spend $70+ more dollars! Thank you in advance....
