How can I watch FiOS TV on my iMac?

I have FiOS TV as well as internet and would like to watch TV on my iMac. I have a FiOS settop box that I can dedicate to received HD and some subscribed channels

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.2)

i just came across this video while i was looking for the same answer. This video explains that you can hook up your cable box/dvr using the firewire port plus free software. I need to buy my firewire cable (because i seem to have lost mine) and am going to give it a try. I have FiOS too, so hopefully it works for our system as well:

The problems I see with that is (a) I don't think there are too many cable providers that have set top boxes with firewire output (usually composite, component, hdmi) and (b) even if they do I don't think it would allow full HD due to HDCP restrictions imposed by the d@mn entertainment industry.

That also applies to the Elgato products if the intent is to try to connect them to a cable company's cable box. Using Elgato own services or receiving over the air via antenna is perfectly ok however. So is connecting to compnent/composite to a vable company box but of course no HD that way (again that stupid HDCP).
