sorting bookmarks in Safari

Just started using Safari, Iv saved lots of bookmarks and want to have them in alphabetical order- I cant find anything in a jumbled up list as it is now.

Im used to Internet explorer on Windows where you can "sort by name"

Any ideas?

Safari is vers 506

OS is vers 1058

One way of alphabetize Safari's bookmarks:

Have a look at Bookdog:

Alternatively try the 'quick n' dirty way': 😉

Drag the folder with the bookmarks to your Desktop and the Finder window will automatically alphabetize the bookmarks. Then drag it back into the Safari window.

Hi

I have picked this up rather late in the day so sorry for that.

Could I have a little help please.

I have tried this, finding bookmarks in Finder and dragging to the Desk Top. That was fine but it will not allow me to drag the folder back, either to Finder or to put it on to the book marks in Safari. It just keeps returning to the Desk Top.

The only way I can get it off the Desk Top is if I put it in the Trash. If I empty that I will have lost it.

I am running OS X Yosemite. 10.10.3. Is it perhaps different with this operating system.

Thanks in advance.
