I had a power cut and it deleted my whole itunes library, does anyone know how to recover this simply? has it backed up to my mac anywhere or have I lost it forever? please help asap

If you have Time Machine enabled, you should be able to recover your iTunes media files if they were located on your Mac originally.

Otherwise, please check out this Apple Support article for details on how to redownload previously purchased media from iTunes.
