I keep trying to use iCloud for my iTunes to get the albums that I already purchased, but it's saying that my laptop isn't authorized. I'm not sure how to authorize it.

iTunes>Store>Authorize this Computer.
In iTunes you choose "Store" in the top menu and then "authorize this computer"

there is not an option for that
You have to open up the Itunes program. When it open, on the upper-left corner, there should be a square shape that have shaded black and the other white. Click on that, and it should pop up a menu for you: New, Library, Itunes store, etc... Once you get that far, bring your mouse pointer over Itunes store and a sub-menu should show up. At the end of that menu list should be the option for you to authorize/de-authorize your computer.
