If you have another iOS 5 device you can see the mesages that are sent to her by using the same Receive At email address that she uses. Go to Settings>Messages>Receive At to chang/add.

If you chare the icloud id, then the imessages will be delivered to all devices that are using that icloud account as the imessage address.
