Hey Everyone,
I recently had my IPhone 4 stolen. ICloud is not running on it and I never downloaded the app Find My IPhone... I am wondering if being able to provide my Serial Number and any other owner information that Apple would be able to at least track my IPhone and let me know where it is.

I may not have as much knowledge as you in this field mate, but your sarcastic rhetorical question isn't appreciated or mildly helpful after someone already answered the question. I am merely asking for advise on what to do, as well as if Apple can do anything to aid me.
With this question coming up daily on these forums, your asking it again is just to tempting to give you a sarcastic answer.

Google doesn't seem to have an answer, which is why I went to the apple "support" group. I'm new to this fourm, and I couldn't find anything related to this topic, though thank you for the insightful viewpoint Allan.
now adays with on star, chevrolet will notify the police exactly where the car is. So YES chevrolet will help you find your corvette!!!!

Apple does not assist in finding phones. If you had Find My iPhone activated prior to losing the phone, then log into www.icloud.com and see if you can track the phone. The phone has to be powered on and have an active internet connection. If it does not, then you cannot track the device. And, the serial number is not used in tracking the device anyway.

Had you read this thread, you'd have learned that Apple doesn't assist with finding your lost iPhone.
Can apple support help me find my Iphone?
