Hello. I tried to connect my Time Capsule to my macbook pro (through cord not wifi). It came up when i tried to select disk in Time Machine system preferences, but after i put in the password it came up with OSStatus error 28. Any ideas? Thanks.

If you are using Lion firstly load the 5.6 utility.
Then I would do a full factory reset and start again setup.
Use simple names, for TC and wireless, no spaces, no strange characters .. pure alphanumeric.
If you have partial TM first backup, delete it and start again.
If you did upgrade install of Lion, it can have corrupted something so do a disk verify first.

Full reset to Time Machine as well.. A4 and A5 in the first section there.
But that particular error is not listed AFAIK.
It would appear that I am running on OSX 10.6.8, Which if I am correct, this would be Snow Leopard, would this make a difference?

If you are on SL take the TC firmware back to 7.5.2 if possible.. do this in airport utility by holding down the option key when you select the firmware.
The later 7.6 which are orientated towards Lion add nothing to SL and in fact cause more issues..
You can still do the other things I suggested if that does not fix it.
