AirPrint is not printer sharing through a pc.
If your printer itself is not connected to the network and does not support AirPrint-it will not work.

No Samsung printers are listed
You can print to your usb printer with AirPrint. But first you need to install AirPrint on your PC.
Add AirPrint to Windows;

After you have installed AirPrint you should be able to share the printer either directly from your PC if it has a wi-fi card or over your home network if you have a wi-fi enabled router.
Oops-should have checked the facts first.
That'll teach me to spout off!
I share my HP Photosmart 7960 USB printer connected to my Mac mini with the iOS devices in this household over wi-fi from our LAN.
Activate AirPrint in Mac OS X;
Thanks Dah-veed, I just learned something too... I hope it works.
I guess I'm not understanding this line from the AirPrint document (or it's just wrong)?...
AirPrint only works with a Wi-Fi network connection to an AirPrint-capable printer. A printer connected using Bluetooth or to the USB port of a Mac, PC, AirPort Base Station, or Time Capsule is not supported.
What he is linking to is a hack that gets around that.
It's not Apple approved.
I figured so, thanks JB. Looking forward to giving it a try.
I believe that is because presently Apple is not supporting the technology to do so from iOS devices, so the document only states what Apple actively supports at this moment. AirPrint exists in Mac OS X, but it is not activated, hence the need for AirPrint Activator, which was developed by a 3rd party. AirPrint is not part of Windows, hence the need to install it.
Jonathan, it is not a hack because nothing is hacked. (That is such an ugly word.) The AirPrint software exists in Mac OS X, it is just inactive. AirPrint Activator only turns it on.
It's a hack.
Nothing wrong with it, didn't mean to imply it was a bad, evil, vile thing.
When you make something function in a way the manufacturer did not intend or enable "hidden" features-you've hacked the device.
If it makes you feel better, I'll use "macgyver" instead.
It is a macgyver, they have macgyvered it.
