Apple modem

I have a dial up customer using an iMax OS10.5x with an Apple dialup modem who lives in a rural area. When he calls in from home I can see from my interface that it connects but DOES NOT SEND the usename/password for radius authentication. It times out and terminates the connection.

When the computer and modem are here in town, it works fine.

Are there any settings to adjust that may help or any older dialup programs to use that will show the progress of the connection step by step? We used to have old Windows software that displayed Answer, Acknowledge, etc.

We've seen similar problems with the disgusting PCI express modems, they simply will not work for cutomers on rural phone concentrators while regular PCI modems will.

Believe it or not, there are still areas people must use dialup.
