Error code #9

When I unplugged the charger from my iPad the screen when blank except for the Apple logo which started to flash at a slow rate. The home button would not bring it to life so I did a reset with the home button and the off button and nothing changed. I plugged it back in and it didn't automatically bring up iTunes like it usually does nor did it show the battery indicator. I tried a restore from the computer and it told me it can't restore it because of error #9. and the Ipod now shows me to plug in the charger and the usb cable, which I did. I even tried a different cable and it still shows the same iCon. Is there any thing else I can try before contacting apple?

iPad 2, iOS 5.0.1

It could be the porblem with your USB dock on Computer... try to connect to another one (if you have) and restore the iPad.

"

Error 9: This error occurs when the device unexpectedly drops off the USB bus and communication stops. This can occur if the device is manually disconnected during the restore process. This issue can be resolved by performing USB isolation troubleshooting, using a different USB dock-connector cable, trying another USB port, restoring on another computer, or by eliminating conflicts from third-party security software."- it's taken from the Apple support web.
