The website software sees the cropped image, but only allows me to access and upload the original version of the photo. Do I need to save the photo to the hard drive? and if so, how do I do that? I don't see a "save image" option in the iPhoto file options.

That would be the File -> Export option.
I'm trying to upload by using the "upload picutre" option from the website, accessing the photo through the "photos" option on the sidebar (other options under this tab are all videos and music files, also.)
When I crop the photo, where does the photo automatically to access?
