Q: Time Capsule error message: "Volumes/Cindy.......Cap-2/Cindy's.......sparse bundle is already in use.

Just launched my new 3 TB Time Capsule and began back up. Got about 40G backed up when it stopped. Error message keeps appearing each time I've tried to continue back up - "Volumes/Cindy.....Cap-2/Cindy's.....sparse bundle is already in use. How do I resolve this? Thanks!

I have got the same problem. Ejection the Time Capsule and reconnect it again and then run the Time Machine worked.

Called Apple Support....love that Express Lane...and all I had to do was to eject the Time Machine Backup and Time Capsule icons from desktop. Re-launched back up and it's going now. No need to mess with sparse bundles. Thanks APPLE!

Sean...I had two icons on my desktop at the same time..time capsule and time machine back up. They were in conflict. I moved both to the trash and initiated the Time Capsule again...all has been well since then. Hope this helps!
