why & how do i stop receiving a 625-0 text message?

I don't know what phone or carrier you have. Yes i did I contacted Verizon Customer Service not a Verizon Store. My other phone droid Incredible 2 was on the android system & it uses Back Up Assistant for the Contacts. My droid Incredible 2 was still trying to update or sync with the Back Up Assistant on my new the iPhone 4S per the Customer Rep. This is why I was receiving these Txt messages every day & time. The Customer service was able to disable th Back Up Assistant on there end and I stopped receiving them. The iPhone 4S uses what's called Verizon Transfer Contacts it does the same job as the Back Up Assistant but since Apple has its own system & own way of doing things. You have to Download Apple App wich is called Verizon Transfer Contacts. I hope this helps let me know how everything turns out good luck.

I just had this problem when I switched over to an iPhone 5 from a Droid. It is caused by the Backup Assistant + Sync. When you sync an email account, you will get an automatic text ping (something like VZWNMN: 2) every time you receive a new email. You need to uninstall the backup assistant to remove these annoying text messages. You can reinstall it once it has been removed, just do not connect it to your email address. Or, just use the Cloud to backup your information instead of Verizon's app.
