Bottom of Trackpad irresponsive

Hey guys,

Owner of a 2 month old MBP here 🙂

Just curious if this is something "normal" or if my trackpad is glitchy. My trackpad is not responsive in its bottom edge (say, your finger is touching the trackpad right at the edge with the aluminium body). If I place my finger there, and I slide left / right the pointer won't move. It does move in all other edges of the trackpad. In fact, it even moves if only half of my finger is touching the pad (and the other half is on the aluminium body). However it's not so on the bottom edge.

What's even more curious (and seems to point to a software issue), is that if I do an L shaped movement, starting and the left edge and without lifting my finger, reach the bottom edge and then slide right, it then detects the motion at the bottome edge. It just doesn't work if I start the motion by touching first the bottom edge.

Is this normal or should I just get it fixed under warranty ?

Thanks a bunch!

Sorry to bother guys 🙂

Still would prefer to be able to use the whole trackpad uniformly... I'm not one of those who rests the thumb on the bottom of the trackpad
