My iPhone thinks another cell # is a land line. How do I fix that?

I receive this error the last day when I'm texting one person on my contact who has a cell phone.

The error message is as follows

+1 (1) (216) 116-11

[cell number i'm trying to reach here] Error Invalid Number. Please re-send using a valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code.[this space is what I wrote in the text I sent.]

Any help or thoughts?

That's the number of a random message I recieve after I am texting this person. their number has the three digit area code, then three numbers, then four, like normal US numbers.

I texted my home phone, a land line. and recieved that same number in my first post, and the same error message. Thing is, the cell phone I'm trying to reach isn't a land line, so why am I recieving a land line message error when texting a cell phone?

Randers4: Looks like it worked, I was able to send the text and I have not recieved an error yet.

tattoohead: That's what I thought at first as well, but if just deleting the contact and all messages and then remaking it worked, it has to be something else. I wish I knew what the true problem was though. Thanks for your guys' help though!
