We need a lot more information to give you an answer. Are you able to connect other deviced to your home wireless network? What happens when you try to connect your iPhone?

Can you connect to your Wifi on other devices? Such as a Laptop, Desktop, or gaming device?

If you can't connect on other devices either, then try resetting your modem/router. On the back of most routers/modems there is usually a reset button. Just hold in the button for 15 seconds, then release. Wait 30 seconds, then unplug the router/modem and plug it back in. Wait 30 more seconds, and try to connect again.

If you can connect on other devices, on the iPhone go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network settings. After the phone is done doing that, try to connect to your home network again. If this doesn't work, try giving your Internet provider and asking them about the problem. It could just be a simple router issue.

With my iPhone 5 and iOS 6.0 no problem. With 6.0.1 difficult wireless signal (at home and at work). I think is a software problem. I wait for iOS 6.1...

Reboot the router by turning it off for about 15 seconds.

I recently bought an Iphone 5 and I wasn't able to connect to my home wi fi. The phone could detect the network fine but when i put in the password it says "unable to connect". I took my phone to my friends house and tried connecting to his wi fi and it worked fine. When i got home I saw that there was an IOS update 6.0.2 which was suppose to fix wi fi bugs so i updated it and tried agian but still couldn't connect to my home network...So I'm assuming its something to do with how the router is set up. Does anyone know the correct security settings that will allow my iphone 5 to connect?

Note : My macbook pro and other laptops connect fine. My mums ipad doesn't connect either anymore

    Two things to check:

    1. MAC filtering - Routers can be configured to only allow known devices to connect, based on their MAC address (Media Access Control, not a reference to a computer brand). If this feature is enabled in your router you will need to add the "WiFi Address" from the iPhone's Settings/General/About to the "allowed" list in the router setup.

    2. Out of date router firmware - Make sure your router has the latest firmware update from the manufacturer's web site

Beyond those, also try "Forget this network" by going to Settings/WiFi and tapping on the arrow next to the network name. Also try Settings/General/Reset - Reset Network Settings. This will not delete any data, but will erase all stored WiFi passphrases.
