I attempted to add a signature to a pdf document in Preview and after capturing the signature it appeared upside down when pasted onto the document. After capturing the signature upside down and pasting it to the document, the text that had been previously entered was half missing and upside down when the document was saved and then reopened. Is anybody having similar problems?

I was able to correct the problem by opening the document in PDFPen Pro and letting it OCR the document. Save that then switch back to Preview and sign the document. Apparently either the act of saving the document or the OCR fixed the page orientation issue allowing Preview to sign the document right side up.
I was able to fix with an even easier method of open ing in Adobe Reader, rotating each page so they are right-side up, save under new name, go to File>Attached To Email, send to myself and then open that version in Preview.

I get the same result. It is a bit random. The signature is somethings upside-down, and sometimes perpendicular to the horizonal plane. It does NOT help to rotate the document 180 degress, the signature image rotates with the page. It seems to be a Mt. Lion issue, since i used this feature all the time in Lion with problems.
It seems to have something to do with the orientation of a scanned page. A document I am trying to sign and my signature is upside down is on a page that was scanned and flipped. So now my signature will not show up right side up and I can't seem to force the signature to rotate into the correct position.
HAHA. I figured out an even EASIER way. Add another signature, but this time UPSIDE DOWN. lol. totally works.
To fix this problem I printed a copy of the PDF document to a new PDF document and then signed that one and everything appeared correctly.

Open in Preview, re-orient the way you want, Command-P, then under the PDF menu (bottom left) choose open PDF in preview. It will re-open the document in itself, but with no knowledge of previous orientation...and your signature will work as expected.
