You should be able to delete a song directly from your iPhone by sliding your finger across the song you want to delete, a red "Delete" button should come up. Click it.
This doesn't work b/c there is an alphabet on the side and when I tried that it kept flipping to that letter
Start with you finger toward the middle of the song title, not all the way to the right, then swip to the left and you will see the Delete button.
Yes, you can delete individual songs from the iPhone.
Swipe from right to left, just before the alaphbet orginization bar. You can delete songs individually from the iPhone.
Thanks,
That worked for me.
Interesting that I don't believe there is anything in the user guide about that.
This is so strange. On my iPod I can sync with iTunes, select multiple songs, press "delete" on my MacBook Pro keyboard and the songs are removed. On my iPhone 4S, this does not work. My iTunes library is hardly blank so syncing with it isn't going to work. There must be some way of deleting an entire album (for example) from the iPhone without going through each song individually on the phone itself. Does someone know something about this or have any other suggestions? Thanks.
To delete an album on you phone open Music, navigate to the album view (tap More, tap Albums), locate the album you want to delete, swipe right to left or left to right across the album title, tap delete.
how do i get music from my ipod to iphone
The music needs to be in the iTunes library you're syncing your phone with. Once there, choose to Sync Music on the Music tab of your iTunes sync settings and sync your phone.
To delete all music:
If you have iOS 5, click your settings icon, then General, then Usage, then Storage. Click the "-" sign next to music.
To delete a single song:
Click your music icon, click on songs, swipe your finger from right to left on the song. You said before that it doesn't work becuase of the alphabet - it does, just start swiping a little bit to the left of that alphabet (you can actually start the swipe in the middle of the screen).
i have a question: when i drag and drop a song into the "music" folder of my iphone 4 from itunes without placing it in a playlis. i usually find it on the phone in "songs" after clicking on teh "music icon" then if i delete teh song manually from the phone, and connect teh phone to the itunes, click on "music" folder of my phones that is apprearing in itues, i can still see the song on the phone. and i have todelete it from teh itunes for it to be completly deleted fromt eh phone. my question is, when i delete it from the phone and it is still left on teh phone (sinc ei can see it on teh phone from itunes) where on teh phone is it located and can it be accessed or not?
THANK YOU!!!...
easy Peasy straight forward, and worked the first try!!!
I have tried all of these solutions and can’t find a solution that will work for one song in particular that is “on” my iPhone 4 (iOS6). It appears in my music but it won't play, the album artwork isn’t showing up and when I plug the phone into iTunes it doesn’t appear there either. I can’t “swipe” it to delete it (just doesn’t work) and I can’t delete it while in iTunes because it doesn’t show up for me to delete it and sync the phone. Could this be because my phone was synced with another iTunes library (on an older computer that is no longer in use)? If so, should I sync it with the current library on the new computer and hope I don’t lose anything in the process… photo’s, videos, apps, etc.?
