Jan 21, 2012 8:47 AM in response to Cinsero4uby John Guo,If you have a external hard drive I would just use that to transfer. If the two computers are on the same network, you can do wireless transfers too but that might take too long. If you want detail information, reply.

Jan 21, 2012 9:02 AM in response to Cinsero4uby Shootist007,★HelpfulI suggest you stay away for the Migration Assistant. Some times it works OK, and I do mean JUST OK, but other times it doesn't work very well and can screw up your OS X install to some degree.
Your best bet is to use either a external hard drive formatted FAT32 for transferring files of 4GBs or less, an External drive formatted exFAT for transferring files larger or smaller then 4GBs or you can network them together through your home LAN. But not using any wireless connection, Use Ethernet cables.
If you have a GB LAN setup in your home then the transfers will be just as fast as using a external drive and you don't have to worry about the format of the drive, whether both systems can read exFAT formatted drives and moving the drive from one computer to the other.
