microsoft word will not print, but excel does.

I have a mac book pro, installed microsoft office on it, with word, excel, ect. I have an HP 6500 wireless printer. Printing from microsoft word gives me blank documents, but printing from excel works fine. Printing from Adobe gives me only blue lines, anything that is black, comes out blank. Any suggestions?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Downloaded the latest HP driver. no change. my copy function spits out blank pages, made me think it was the printer, then printed an email from entourage, no problems. Tried to print from word and excel, blank pages. Don't believe I will ever buy an HP printer again. I also restarted my mac after the download, and turned printer off then back on.
