I reset my iPhone and lost my contacts icon

If you can't find it on any of your pages, or in any of your groups, you can restore it by resetting it. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout. This may rearrange some of your app icons.

Thx for the suggestion. I tried that but it didn't work. Any other suggestions?

I assume by "address book icon" you mean the Contacts app. You can't delete this because it's part of the iOS. Resetting the home screen layout should have restored you home screen to it's default, including the Contacts icon. If you're saying this didn't work then I'm not sure what's going on. You could always try resetting the phone to see if that helps: hold the on/off and home buttons simultaneously for 10-15 seconds until you see the Apple logo (ignore the off slider that appears first), release and wait for the phone to restart.

I know. It's weird. I have already tried the hard restart with no luck. Tried checking updates on Phone software. No luck.

You may have to back everything up and restore your phone as new to resolve this. Be sure to backup your phone first, and to be safe, copy all your photos to your computer and transfer all you purchases to iTunes, and be sure all your contacts are in a supported application on your computer (Outlook 2003, 2007, 2010, mac Address Book, etc.). Beginning with iOS 5, the Contacts app is placed in a utilities folder usually found on the first home page.

Jim. THANK YOU. I feel so silly. There it was all right! I never look in that icon so missed it.

Thanks. Works fine and I could take it back out of that folder and make it an icon the way I like it.
