my iTunes is not taking my visa gift card

Use the VISA gift card to purchase an iTunes gift card. Then click Redeem under Quick Links right side of the App Store window.

You cannot use that type of VISA card in the iTunes stores. So she is suggesting that you go to a local store, sometimes a 7-11 or a pharmacy, and buy a local iTunes Gift card with your VIS A card.
