Macplay Realmyst on Snow Leopard 10.6.8 at 64bit

Is it possible to run the Macgames Realmyst disc on Snow Leopard10.6.8 at 64bit? Having switched to mac-pro from PC a few years back, blood pressure and heart rate have subsided nicely and life is good. The only thing missed from PC are the Cyan games. I got a copy of Macgames Realymyst off ebay recently and tried to run it with no luck. Note that the machine is set up on 64bit to best run CS5. Several internet fixes have been tried for realmyst with no success, and my question is whether this game can be run at 64bit. When the machine was new, attempting to toggle between 32bit and 64bit didn't work so a sudo command was used to lock it into 64bit per apple website command string. Maybe something wrong was done at boot to toggle. Holding down of the appropriate key at startup didn't work for me.

It has been suggested that Sheepshaver or the like might be used, but probably won't work with this game. Vmware was used under XP2 to transfer data to the Mac, but the PC game disc runs poorly in that environment and emulation may not be the answer. The Mac disc call for 3D capability. Does the installed card do this (3D NVIDIA GeForce GT 120)? Rosetta has been installed.

An Applecare phone advisor recommended this community for help, so here I am, though not knowing if this is a legitimate question for the group. If I need to tidy up a request beyond brevity, which will follow in the future, let me know.

It's quite possible to Boot Camp XP3 (or XP2) onto a partition within the 2tb time machine drive (internal), as there is tons of space there. Would a bootcamp version of windows possibly run the PC realmyst disc better than the Vmware emulation? Other mac users at this site seem to think bootcamp is a cleaner faster way to run windows. Your advice would be appreciated. I just want to play Misty again.

Note: The CS5 scratch drive is a partition on the 2tb drive along with time-machine. 200Mb in size. I don't know if three partitions on a drive is a good or bad idea. Scratch could easily be moved to another drive if appropriate. In fact the boot drive is 1tb and XP could go there if optimal. Thank you ----> bruce

I believe RealMyst is a "pure" is only PowerPC. So it doesn't matter whether you boot in 32 or 64 bit but it does matter whether you installed Rosetta on your system (optional when you installed your system) to handle the ppc code. Even with Rosetta there's no guarantees that app will run in 10.6.8.

Also RealMyst is for OSX. SheepShaver is for emulating Clasic OS9 so forget about that.
