My 13" MBP recently stopped displaying. The computer boots up, makes the chime and reads disks( i can hear it working when I am trying to reinstall SnowLeopard), however it doesn't display. When it boots, the screen flashes briefly at start-up and then go back to a black screen.

See if you qualify - MacBook Pro: Distorted video or no video issues. The affected computers were manufactured between approximately May 2007 and September 2008.
