Not enough power cables to my video cards

I recently bought a new 5870 graphic card for my mac pro. I want to keep the old car in there too because i want to use three displays. The original card needs one power cable and the 5870 needs two but my motherboadr only has two. Is there any way to add a power source or get around that? Any other sugestions?

Yes, you can run three monitors on a single 5870 but you probably should read the two apple docs.

Mac Pro (Mid 2010), Mac Pro (Early 2009): Issues with three displays and multiple DVI, HDMI connections

Mac Pro (Early 2009), Mac Pro (Mid 2010): Supported display configurations

The second is the one referenced by the previous post. Basically what it means is you need two active adapters to handle three monitors on 5x70 cards.

Also, FWIW, if you really wanted to try to handle two video cards, one being a 5870, you should look at this video. The trick is using a pci power splitter like this one.
