You can try changing it to port 2525, and see whether that makes a difference.
Turn off SSL.

These are defaults that haven't been tampered with since the device was set up in June of 2010. I have sent a lot of mail in 3G mode.
The latest stall resolved itself after I put a hard reboot on the tablet.
Do Apple Stores have hardware diagnostics they can run on my iPad to determine incipient hardware failure?

Mar 28, 2012 2:47 PM in response to Jeanyby Sam Katz1,Do you have an AT&T or verizon ipad? I would take it to them for resolution. Your SIM card may need to be reseated. Are you getting any error messages?
