It will tell you want you need to do to have Apple generate a new serial number for you.

Jan 21, 2012 7:10 PM in response to sarabil1by Thomas Emmerich,The page I was looking for was called "Downloadable Software Purchases" and I eventually found a link to it from a forum post. But the page was empty and showed none of my purchases. I suppose Apple got rid of that information with the advent of the Mac App Store. Not good.
