Problems with software update!

When I try and update office software, terminal bash opens up & update doesn't work and is still there when i search for updates the next time. I havent been able to update for the last couple of months.

Previously when I would update and it had finished downloading, a login box would come up, I would put in my password and it would be fine. Now, a terminal pop up comes up that says:

Anna-Georgiadiss-MacBook-Pro:16807Office 2008 12.3.2 Update.mpkg annageorgiadis$

It also says:

16807Office 2008 12.3.2 Update - bash - 80x24

I dont even know what terminal is or how to use it.

Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how I can fix it?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2)

This forum is for troubleshooting Apple Software Update for Windows, a software package for Windows designed to update Apple products that run on Windows, and not related to Microsoft Office in any way. Therefore please post Office related questions on Microsoft's own forums for their Mac products.
