Network Unlock Code

Hi guys,

I'm living in Ireland & before Christmas I requested a network unlock code for my 3G through O2 Ireland, I got an email back within two days saying that my phone's IMEI had been approved to unlock by Apple etc etc & basically all I had to do was connect to iTunes & a notification should pop up saying that "the network lock has been removed"...

It didn't, all I get is a notification up on the iPhone's screen saying that a different SIM has been put in with two buttons "Cancel" & "Unlock", I press the "Unlock" button & it asks for a 4 digit passcode, I've put in the code I use for screen lock twice, of course it's been incorrect both times & I'm now down to my final attempt...

Is there a default code that the iPhone has or should I have been given a code by O2 or Apple? I've tried numerous times to get an answer from O2 but to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Process is simple

1 O2 approve your request

2 Authorise Apple to change your iPhone Status to unlock in their servers

3 Place a non O2 sim in your iPhone and and connect to iTunes

4 You may get a message saying Congratulations your iPhone is now unlocked but not always

Your iPhone is now unlocked ,no codes ar any other intervention

O2 normally give you rough timings of thisprocess
