HP wireless USB mouse won't connect.

I have an HP wireless mouse that uses a battery and USB to connect. It connects fine with my Windows but can't be found with my Macbook Pro. Any suggestions? Thank you.

I was also not able to do it during the initial installation of Mouse to my Macbook pro. Pressed blue button, also tried various other things.

Here is what I did and it finally worked:

1. Pressed the blue button on the mouse for over 10-15 seconds

> it didn't work with this step.

2. Changed my USB port to other port / or plug out the USB receiver and plug in again

It started working.

Actually OS X does not need to find it and there is NO way to find it unless you are trying to use Bluetooth. It's not a Bluetooth mouse.

You have to plug the receiving unit into a USB port. Then turn the mouse on, if it isn't already. If it doesn't start working then there is a button on the bottom of it to Pair it with the receiving unit.

It still doesn't connect. I plug the USB into the port, switch the mouse to "on" and then hit the connect button. Then a light on the mouse, below the scroll wheel, blinks orange.

Have you tried new batteries in the mouse?

Have you tried putting the receiver in the other USB port? Along with new batteries in the mouse?

Could be the USB port you have the receiver plugged into does not properly power the receiver.
