Each time I sync, the BBC iPlayer springboard shortcut comes back
A web shortcut on the Springboard, not the iPlayer app.
Where is the shortcut hiding within iTunes so that it doesn't come back each time I sync?
PC, iOS 5, Windows 7 x64

I use iPlayer and to be honest I haven't a clue what you are talking about
You will have to be far more explicit to expect any help esp for a UK specific App
As I said, it's not the app I'm talking about but a shortcut to the website that has been placed on the Springboard.
When I delete it and sync via. my PC, it keeps coming back.
What springboard
Springboard or Home Screen is the standard application that manages the iOS home screen.
OK so we are talking about the Home screen Yes ?( never ever heard anyone refer to it as Springboard )
You have I assume the iPlayer app icon showing up on the home page screen .Yes
Do you actually know anything about how the iPhone works because you are not really making sense
You might like to look at this

I created the shortcut on the Springboard/Home Screen by opening the website in Sarafi and choosing Add to Home Screen.
I had it there for a few months and used it freuently. During this time, I had synced my phone several times.
There is now an actual BBC iPlayer app so that Web shortcut is no longer needed.
I delete the shortcut on my iPhone but when I sync via. iTunes, the shortcut always reappears.
Right Thank you
1 IT IS NOT SPRINGBOARD it is the home page
2 press the offending icon until it wobbles and a cross appears in top left of icon press cross and shortcut will go
3 If you want help from other users you need to share info
This drawn out exchange was frankly ridiculous
1. The Home Screen is also known as the Springboard.
2. As I have said many times, I have successfully deleted the shortcut/icon but every time I sync my iPhone via. iTunes, the shortcut re-appears on my Home Screen.
3. I can not give any more information than I already have.
Wikepedia may call it springboard but APPLE does not
I suggest that if you were able to find that look here
well I have the same issue, but for me its a shortcut of carbon XHD theme page and whatever i did including delete, OS update, reset. it just come back after every restart of the phone.
