Is it possible to use /etc/hosts.allow & /etc/hosts.deny?

Hi.

I was wondering if it is possible to use /etc/hosts.allow & /etc/hosts.deny in Mac OS X Server 10.4.5 to limit for example ssh client connections?

Feedback regarding this issue will be greatly appreciated 🙂

hosts.allow and hosts.deny work out of the box, no need to recompile anything. The files don't exist by default, but if you create them, they will be picked up automagically by the system. I have found that there is a delay of about a minute or so after saving before the rules in hosts.allow and hosts.deny become active.
