Assuming that you mean you want to prevent someone from seeing your phone number when you call them, contact your cellular provider. They can either set your number to show up as unknown for every call or explain to you the prefix you need to dial on those occasions when you don't want your number to show.

If in the U.S, dial *67 before any number and your number will be blocked or show up as unknown.

Ofcourse, if the person you're calling does not accept calls from "unknown" numbers, then the call won't go thorugh or you'll get a network message saying so.

You could keep the phone in your pocket and use a headset.

If you don't want your phone number to show:

Settings > Phone > Show My Caller ID > OFF

I'm not sure if that's a carrier based setting or a GSM setting. My CDMA phone, though, has no such setting.

It's a GSM settings, you can chose to block your number transmitting.

The receiver will get the call and Block is shown.
