Network iMac G5 10.6 with G3 OS9

Can anyone tell me how to network my iMac G5 running 10.6 to my older beige G3? I have a AGFA Viper RIP on the G3 that runns my Accuset 800. My olfer G5 powere PC running 10.4 would recognize the Viper RIP automatically, but the iMac G5 does not. I still have the older non intell G5 as well as a G4 mac mini. Is there anyway that I can make the G5 talk talk to the G3 so I can print to the AGFA Viper RIP? Please help. THANKS.
