Q: How to disable the MacBook pro iSight LED indicator

Is there a way I could possibly disable the green indicator when I am using my iSight camera? I wanted it not to be noticed sometimes.

Thanks.

    Thanks.

No.  There  is no setting that does what you want.

However, a small piece black electrical tape covers the light nicely. The tape is unobtrusive and harmless, so it will not damage your Mac, reduce its value. or void any remaining warranty.

Note that some of this tape is can be very sticky.  Therefore, I suggest that you test a piece of the tape you plan to use on some other glass before you actually affix it to your Mac.  If you don't press too hard, it should be fairly to remove when you no longer want it.  If the tape is too hard to remove, I touch the surface of the tape before applying it.  The oils of our hands will reduce the stickiness enough so you can get the tape off when desired without damaging anything.  This is also a good time to test the residue left when the tape is removed to find a safe way to clean it before you put any of the tape on your Mac.

Well, I guess that's what I'll have to do then...

    Thanks a lot.
