"Unable to Purchase " PopUp not going away.

Hello!

I hope I am in the right page here. I just got the new 4s and am very happy with it insofar.

However, there is something wierd with my app store. I tried downloading a new app (if it matters it was Angry Piggy ℗) and I got the "Unable to Purchase, try iTunes...etc." window. I said OK and tried another app later, it downloaded, but not without putting up the same window still mentioning Angry Piggy, first. I have since succesfully downloaded Angry Piggy, tried it, and deleted it, with no change to the pop up window.

It doesn't stop my use of the phone at all, it is just really annoying.

How do I get rid of this? Preferably on the phone itself, I do not have a supported computer to plug it into.

eMac G4-OTHER, Mac OS X (10.3.x)

Hi All,

I have just started to receive the same message just in the last couple of days and seen posts with others with the same issue. Issue must be with everyone, not just with particular apple devices.

This error (like everyone else) is annoying to me but at least I am not relieved its not just my device with the issue,

Has anyone reported it yet to apple?

Hi Guys,

I have recently found a fix for this issue. If you go to this blog, it contains instruction on full description on how to stop the error messages appearing http://www.blog.gleff.com/2012/03/app-store-unable-to-purchase-fix/

I will briefly explain how to do it:

Go to http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/ and download iexplorer.

Run iexplorer then connect your Apple Device

Go to the "Downloads" folder

Look for a file name called "downloads.28.sqlitedb" or similar and rename it too downloads.28.sqlitedbase (or delete it if you are confident but I will not take responsiblility if anything does go wrong with the device).

Close down the App Store completely and run again and it should work. The message has not appeared for me now for a couple of days and am very pleased that it is gone. 🙂
