How can i get facetime on my UAE iphone 4s?

Sell the phone and purchase one in a country where it is not banned by law.

I have the same problem, Apple is very @#$&*, Why they didn't announce that FACETIME is not for all iPhones? What is the use of their ADS, Promotions Etc if one of the best Feature in the Phone is missing?

I don't see the ads posted and running in your country for the iPhone and I don't know if those ads are being run by Apple themselves or by the carriers (Etisalat and DU), so I can't comment on them. I will point out, though that in their list of supported carriers, you will see the notation by the country name that "FaceTime is not available in this country."

Talk to your government about it.

Go to Settings, then scroll down and find Facetime (it's a camera with a lens on the boxed area), sign in to it using your Apple ID and then enable Facetime. It should work.

To access Facetime, you have to use your Contacts App to use it.

Why were you not aware that your government has restricted this?

i cant understand why apple deleted the facetime app! if i am using the device in usa i want to use the face time i am only buying the device fro aue i dont live their!!

If the phone was purchased in the UAE, it doesn't matter where you are now. The reason Apple "deleted it" is because, once again, the UAE government does not permit it.

I have same problem but in Australia where the ph was purchased. Cant find facetime anywhere. Its not listed under phone / settings. Any ideas anyone? Thanks.

Because they are required by law to do so in the country where it was sold. Where you take it after it's sold is irrelevant. What matters is where it was sold.

Hi man, I am living in Saudi Arabia, and they said that the Facetime in not available in the iPhone.

But guess what, Facetime is an option of Carrier the same as Personal Hotspot.

Because when i bought the phone, i get it activated on a SIM card from Kuwait, then the Facetime option was there, but when i inserted the KSA or UAE sim card, the Facetime option disappeared.

So what you need to do is:

Insert your new SIM card and make restore to your iPhone and you will have everything.

I am sure of that.

Hei, thanks for the information. I hope it will works on mine. because I'll be leaving the country soon, so I will need the facetime. If I knew its gonna be a problem, I wouldnt buy it in Saudi.
