Apple is not trying to phase out USB modems. They discontinued their own USB modem several years ago and are not supporting it in Lion because it was a soft-modem, not a full controller design, that relied partially on software supplied by Motorola. There are a number of full controller usb modems on the market that work just fine with Lion, US Robotics and Zoom to ame the two most prominent.

Hi Gaurav,

If your Tata Photon + is the make of Olive VME, then you have to visit the Tata Store near to you, they will run the patch for the same and can make it working. The available drivers on tata photon site doesn't work.

I do have the patch but i cannot attach it here, if you could provide me your email id, i can send the patch to you on your email id.

Hi Santosh,

I have been using my Photon Max with PC...Now I have migrated to Mac (Lion OSX), but it has stopped working on Mac.....Though it requires Java for Lion to be installed.....for any data card to get operational on Mac...Even that has been done.......Tried searching for drivers on net...but no success....

I am in a stiuation of Fix.....Please provide any solution...
