When I connect my iPad to my computer and ask it to transfer purchaes from the iPad to the computer it tells me the computer is not authorized. I then follow the steps to authorize and still get the same error? Tried deauthorizing and reauthorizing to no avail.

Make sure that you are using and logged into the correct Apple ID on both the iPad and in iTunes on your computer.

Take a look at the suggestions in this article from Apple and see if one will work for you.

How do I log in on the iPad to make sure I am using the same Apple ID? It comes up automatically and does not ask for that info?

On the iPad go to Settings>Store>Sign in - or tap on your ID in there. You can check to make sure that the ID is the correct one in that setting.

Thanks Demo that worked.....2 different apple ID's. Can I just get rid of one?

    banno....

Any apps or content that you bought with each individual ID will always be tied to that ID. It may be a pain in the behind for you to switch back and forth with the ID's, but if you have purchased apps with both ID's - then keep them both. You will need each ID in order to update the apps that you bought them with or to download the app again if you need it.

Besides - you cannot delete an ID - you can quit using it - but it never goes away.

Is there a way to tell which apps were purchased with which Apple ID. Sorry for all the rookie questions. Really appreciate the help.

No need to apologize ... as far as I know there are 2 ways to find out which ID was used to buy what apps.

Log into one of your accounts on iTunes on your computer and look at your purchased history. Store>View my account - from the iTunes menu. You can view all of your purchases in there for each account. Scrool down to Purchase Hostory and tap on the blue arrow "See All" on the right side.

You can also go to the app store on the iPad - and tap on the purchased tab - and see all of your purchases in there. You can go to iTunes on the iPad and do the same thing.

You just have to remember to log into that account in order to see what you have purchased with it.

Actually - I am now rooting for the Giants so you will get no argument from me. I'd love to see Eli and company stomp the Patriots.

    So ... Go Giants!!!

By chance do you know why some of my mail accounts emails when deleted on one device delete on another (iPhone/iPad) but other mail accounts emails do not and I have to delete them on both devices? I am using iCloud to accomplish this.
