Unable to purchase.

I start having this problem since last Friday. When i go into an App Store on my iPhone 4s and try to download any app I get this error message; "unable to purchase. "Hanging With Friends" and other items could not be purchased at this time. Please try again later". First of all, I already have Hanging installed in my phone. So I click OK,the error messages goes away, and then I asked to put in my password and the phone would start download the app that i wanted to get. Along with that few other apps that i previously owned pop up on my screen with "waiting" status. ones i touch any of them, they go away. after that i can download apps fine for some time but after awhile i get this weird problem again. any suggestions?

@sajid.saiyed: There is absolutely no game data stored in the "downloads.28.sqlitedb file" file. It's just used to keep track of downloads taking place on your device.

Application data is stored with the application in it's own folder. If you look in the Applications folder on your device, you will see a list of folders with numbers as their names. These folders are your installed applications folders. Each number is a "GUID" or Globally Unique IDentifier. Opening one of those folders will show that application's storage area. Included is the application folder (like on Mac OS) as well as a Documents and Library folder.

Game data as well as documents (if the app were, say a text editor) would be stored in this folder structure, not in the "downloads.28.sqlitedb" file.

You see guys, Apple actually does pay attention to these forums. They just don't post in them. Think about it, if they answered everyone who posted in these forums, they wouldn't have any time left over in their day to actually work on the fixes they do work on.

There will still be folks out there with currupted sqlitedb files that will need to either follow the iExplorer fix or do a restore to fix the file, but at least the database won't get corrupted again. 🙂

I have a late 2008 unibody MacBook Pro that had a screen flicker issue that made integrated graphics painful to use. The issue crept up probably about a year (late 2009) after I got the notebook. Apple finally put in a fix through updated firmware this past February and never mentioned the issue until the fix. Soooo.. Apple is capable for going on for years without mentioning an issue, and then finally resolve it. 😝

I just purchased a brand new iPad3. Less than one week later I got to purcahse a game downloaded from the Apple Games store (If I purchased it through the developers site there is a 70% off coupon, but that won't work for games in the Apple store) I click buy and get this error message:

"ipad unable to purchase this item is for an app that was purchased by a different apple id/ to buy this item with this apple id, you must first purchase the app"

I logged on to iTunes, updated billing info, saved, closed.

I went to settings on the iPad, logged out the current Apple ID, powered down, powered up, logged on with my Apple ID, turned on auto update, turned off auto update.

Went back to the game, clicked BUY. Got the same error message.

So, now I'm stuck with this device that limits me to Apples proprietary store that doesn't work. So, basically I have a camera with kaleidoscope that can make silly faces.

***! *** that! Give me a fix.. I would have been better off buying a NON-APPLE laptop that allows me to play Flash, purchase games with 70% discount coupons and doesn't restrict me to their stupid iTunes, Apple store that doesn't even work! This is a piece of crap if I can't download and purchase APPS/Games from the Apple store.

Less than 1 week! NOT HAPPY!

I'm an IT! I should be able to resolve a user ID, Password issue.. I'd rather install Linux! F U Apple! I can't even fix this? BS!

I was just about to purcahse one for my computer illterate mom.. NO WAY! If I'm going nuts, she sure would! Apple made a nice product and left the programming up to monkeys. Did you farm that out to 3rd world countries or just hire monkeys from the zoo?
