I'm using my nano as a watch. Everytime I open the screen I get the "Track Now Playing" displayed. I want to set the default screen at opening as watch screen. I need guidance on how to set this as the fixed default screen please

I have the same problem. Since the ipods dont have a way to "stop" the music, I find it annoying that whenever I have to see the time, I have to dismiss the "now playing" screen. After much trial-error, this is what I am doing which needs the least number of keystrokes. Click on "Radio" which shows you a screen that says "no signal" . Exit out of this screen, and the music player essentially goes to a "stop" mode (small pause/play icon next to battery disappears). Once this is done, the annoying "now playing" does not appear anymore - until I decide to play music again. And yes, the Time of Wake needs to be ON as well.

Not sure if this is the most efficient way, but any other suggestions are most welcome.

I was just messing with my nano trying to find a solution to this particular problem. Somehow I stumbled upon this quick fix to the issue. I applied the settings above before hand and still ended up with the same results. So I kept working with the iPod and here is the solution. Instead of going to the clock menu opening it and then locking the iPod (which will open up to your music menu). Go to the Grey music menu and open it then lock the iPod. (Which will open up to your watch face).

Ugh. I just figured this out. I have to hit the sleep/wake button for several seconds (which doesn't appear to turn the Ipod off like it's supposed to because no apple logo appears, and when I click once on the sleep/wake button, the watch appears). Then hit the sleep/wake button at the same time as the reduce volume button for several seconds. (This appears to turn the ipod off then on? If I just hit sleep/wake at same time as reduce volume, without hitting sleep/wake for several seconds by itself first, I can't get the apple icon). Then I see the apple icon once, and when it comes back up I get the home screen. Then I have to click once to "sleep" it, then when I click again, I get the watch, and when I click through that I now get the home screen instead of "how playing"

That seems like an awful lot to have to go through
